SC80-12 vehicle battery charging The SC80-12 is a versatile battery controller designed to protect the vehicle’s main battery from being discharged below a point where it would not be able to start the vehicle.

It features a primary and secondary circuit that can be joined together to operate as a single 80 amp auxiliary battery charger, connecting the main battery to one auxiliary battery.

The SC80-12 can charge two auxiliary batteries via separate 40 amp circuits, allowing for the charging of one auxiliary battery under the bonnet of a vehicle and another in a caravan being towed by the vehicle.

Once the voltage at the main battery drops to the cut-out level, all the batteries will be isolated from each other.

The SC80-12 does not require additional relays or solenoids to install and operate, making it a convenient solution for dual battery systems.

It can also control circuits of different voltages, such as a 24 volt vehicle with an SC80-24 fitted, allowing for the isolation of the step down voltage converter from the 24 volt battery and accessories from the 12 volt auxiliary battery.
